Islamic Ideology for Learning Fast
Before starting the learning of a lesson, start with بِسْمِ اللّٰہِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ and recite one time Sura Alhamd اَلْحَمْدُ لِلّٰہِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِیْنَ . Then pray to Allah for your success. Now start your reading. Read your lesson very carefully from beginning to end and also understand its meanings and central theme. If the lesson is long, divide it into two or three parts and mark the keywords of each part.
If
the lesson is long and you have divided it into many parts, first, read the first
part a few times (for example 3 or 4 times) with a middle voice. The benefit of
reading with a voice will utilize your three senses, e.g. eyesight, hearing, and listening. If something reaches to the brain through three senses, it will be
remembered quickly.
In the 2nd stage, repeat your lesson orally by hiding your lesson
script or closing your eyes. The advantage of closing your eyes will give you
concentration. If you forget a word or sentence, open your eyes and just look
at that word and close your eyes again.
Keep
rehearsing it until you can say it with conviction and confidence. After
memorizing the first part, move on to the second part, then memorize it in the
same way, then memorize the third part. When you have memorized all the parts
of the lesson separately, repeat the whole lesson orally as many times that the
language becomes fluent. After learning, repeat this lesson in writing. You
should also repeat it with a fellow student.
Method of Group Repetition
First
of all, decide the participants for a group repetition. It is very useful to
seek the guidance of a teacher. A group supervisor and a timekeeper should
also be appointed. All students should memorize their lessons before joining the
group.
In
the group repetition, the group supervisor should explain the lesson to all the
students. Then he will ask any student to tell the other student, what is taken
by him. After the 1st student, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th
students will come and tell the other student, what they have learned.
It
is very important to maintain the element of seriousness in the group
repetition, otherwise, the full benefit will not be achieved. In case of any
kind of complication, go to your teacher.
Some Important Things
- Don't try to memorize a lesson without understanding it, because a lesson memorized without understanding is quickly forgotten.
- Memorize the lesson calmly according to the given method, do not rush. You will gain nothing except a waste of time.
- Arrange the group repetition in such a way that first learn the easy part, then the difficult one, then the more difficult one.
- Don't talk to anyone during this time.
- Don't leave your eyes free to memorize lessons.
- Don't let the mind wander here and there that sometimes you have reached home (of yourself or your uncles etc.) and sometimes in the kitchen of the university, but memorize the lessons with enthusiasm.
Reading a Lesson before Your Teacher
While
repeating a lesson before your teacher, the student should keep the following
matters in mind,
- Instead of feeling inferior, raise your hand and present yourself in a dignified manner.
- If the teacher asks you to read a lesson, stand up politely and teach the lesson with full confidence.
- Keep the pace of the words appropriate while teaching the lesson, do not chew the letters.
- Answer what is asked, avoid unnecessary length.
- Establish a set of sentences for the lesson and avoid confusion.
- In addition to adopting these methods, work hard to memorize the lesson. If you do not understand the lesson, try to understand it again by requesting the teacher, otherwise arrange a repetition with the talented student in the class.
Before starting the learning of a lesson, keep on praying to Allah
Almighty for His Help. Place your have on your head and recite Ya Qawiyyah (يَا قَوِيُّ). Recite the following verse of Holly
Quran 7 times after each Fajr and Maghrib prayers.
During learning your lesson, sit calmly, before starting the lesson, recite these verses ’’رَبِّ زِدْنِيْ عِلْمَا‘‘ and ’’رَبِّ
يَسِّرْ وَ لاَ تُعَسِّرْ وَ تَمِّمٍ بِالْخَيْرِ‘‘ three times.
